A former founder and Design Director, I am a resourceful and thoughtful designer with over 13 years experience in the Fashion, Casual, Sport, UX, and Design industries. Design is my passion, it is my superpower. I love how design functions as utility and art simultaneously, and how this duality can empower both self-expression and self-preservation. I trained as a traditional shoe-maker, leaving the comfort of the States, to study at the London College of Fashion, in order to see the world with a new perspective. I am a designer and want to improve the lives of others by elevating and fulfilling their daily needs. I think creatively and entrepreneurially, and I possess the wherewithal to create solutions, regardless of complexity or ambiguity. I design with the consumer and bottom line in mind. The purpose of design is to create more joy, and what a privilege it is to be able to leverage my own authentic joy to bring gutsy, sophisticated, precise design to the world.
My strengths include all facets of design, from sketching, styling to creative direction, and graphic design. Management of lineplans, merchandising and development are also in my background. I have extensive experience developing footwear and accessories with factories and suppliers, in China, India, Taiwan, Italy, Portugal, and Brazil.
